Who’s been to the beach this year? I’m jealous of everyone who raised their hand or said YES. I love the beach even though I freckle and burn as soon as I even look at sunshine. I love the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I love walking in wet sand. I love looking for shells and shark teeth and anything else that might wash up on shore. And best of all, I love the sunrise and the sunset at the beach. The colors can’t be beat.
As much as I wish I could drag my laptop off to the closest stretch of shoreline, I’m not sure I’d get much writing done. Reading however is a completely different matter. I always put a nice dent in my to-be-read pile when there’s sand and sun involved. Unfortunately we were not able to work out a time and place to go this year. I’m still holding out hope that I can sneak in a weekend somewhere.
So where are you all finding magic this summer?
If you’re looking for new reads while you’re catching some rays this summer, check out my latest release – a sci-fi romance – Rege’s Rescue. Or my Fantasy romance, Mystic’s Touch.

|When Amethe Madigan is abducted by slavers, Rege Rovnitov promises to find her and bring her home. As they fight their way across galaxies he is drawn to her light and good nature. It’s no surprise to learn that someone else is willing to do most anything to possess her.||Danet is a simple servant-turned-physician with one too many voices in her head. How she ended up being able to speak to the royal Prince with only their thoughts is beyond her but their unusual connection may end up saving his life.
After his father’s death, Prince Ceros was poised to assume the throne until he fell victim to a mysterious illness. He may be a glorious example of male perfection, but he also holds the power to expel Danet from the kingdom if her extraordinary gifts ever come to light. Gifts she may need call upon in order to heal him.
The laws of man might stand the test of time, but destiny is a force to be reckoned with, and true love will not be denied.
In addition to the blog hop giveaway, I’m doing a special drawing for anyone who signs up for my newsletter then leaves me a comment about their favorite summer drink. The drink can be with or without alcohol. Slushy or creamy. Fruity or not. Just share the basic ingredients and tell us why you like it so much.
One name will be drawn on Sunday, July 10th from all of the commenters to win a wrapped ring in green and gold from Designs By Jewelee (about size 7) and some author swag. I’ll announce the winner here. Please be sure to include your email address with your comment so I know how to reach you if your name is drawn!
